Reiki Therapy and Reiki Training

I offer Reiki healing sessions and Reiki training certification classes. Reiki enhances health and helps balance the body, mind, and spirit. Reiki, as a bioenergy therapy, is a Japanese form of energy healing that utilizes the Universal Life Force Energy—also called qi, prana, chi or mana—to promote stress reduction and relaxation.

 

Reiki” consists of two Japanese words: “Rei” meaning “universal”, and “Ki” meaning “life force energy”. The Reiki method involves the delivery of energy to stimulate or enhance natural calming and healing mechanisms.

 

Reiki gently sheds light and releases what needs to be restored in the mind, body and spirit including the energy centers and biofield. This may include issues such as un-healed emotions, past traumas, grief, fears, anxiety, phobias, addictions, negative belief patterns, depression or chronic stress, 

 

What to Expect During Your Reiki Session

Currently, I am only offering virtual Reiki sessions which have been proven to be just as effective as an in-person sessions. On certain occasions, I do offer in-person Reiki in the home for select clients. 

 

During a Reiki session, I will go through specialized techniques to channel life force energy, to aid in a calming effect and to rebalance your energy centers. A typical distance Reiki session can last 30-60 minutes. Clients are asked to assume a relaxed position during our virtual appointment. 

 

I recommend you use aromatherapy and soft meditative music during your session for added relaxation. I recommend you place a pillow or bolster under your legs, use a head pillow and eye pillows if available to support relaxation during your session. 

I will explain the complete process of Reiki with you during your appointment and how to enhance the Reiki energy days after your appointment.

 

Whether receiving Reiki in-person or remotely, you may notice sensations such as heat or cold, tingling, chills, or a heaviness in a particular area of the body. Sometimes there is no sensation at all but a deep feeling of relaxation and calm. Fleeting thoughts, ideas or memories may come and go during the session. You may drift in and out of sleep. Any, all or none of these reactions may occur in your session, and each session is unique to the individual receiving treatment.

PRIVATE REIKI 1 TRAINING for Self-Healing

Welcome and I'm excited to offer one-on-one private training for Reiki 1 for Self-Healing via Zoom. Private on-on-one enrollment capacity is limited to ensure a personalized learning experience. 

 

​My private Reiki Ryoho 1 certification is a 8 hour traditional Usui training course. Private training can be started anytime and customized to fit your schedule, needs and goals. 

My Reiki 1 training is an opportunity to deepen your self-care practice, learn Reiki skillfully to reduce midlife stress and anxiety, and receive a certification as a Reiki 1 Practitioner.

 

This self-paced option provides foundational Reiki Level 1 concepts that focuses on the physical, energy centers and holistic health of the practitioner. Reiki has long been used for stress, relaxation  and anxiety relief, to ease physical, emotional, and mental symptoms, reduce medication side effects, support surgery and recovery, deepen spirituality, ease end of life transitions and so much more.

This course also serves as the foundation for the practitioner to build upon for the transition to the role of Reiki Level 2 professional and the Reiki Level 3 Master in my advanced Reiki training classes.

Personalized lessons, demonstrations, practice checkoffs, and final attunements are held via Zoom and scheduled at times we agree upon. 

This option is perfect for:

  • Busy midlife women who are seeking a relaxing and self-healing Reiki training option that allows them the convenience to learn, grow and study at their own pace from home while receiving guided one-on-one expert training and mentorship. 

  • Learners who want flexibility, undivided attention, and who may not be able to attend live group trainings.

Self-Acupressure for Self-Care

Acupressure is an ancient therapeutic technique with over 4,000 years of history. Acupressure utilizes the same medical theory used in acupuncture. In acupressure, gentle pressure is applied to specific locations on the body called “acupoints” or "trigger points" instead of the insertion of an acupuncture needle. Pressure is applied with the fingertips to stimulate the meridian acupoints.

 

Acupoints are locations on the skin that are sensitive to and conduct the body’s bioelectrical impulses through the meridian system that is the container for Qi or life force energy. Pressure on these points stimulates the Qi life force energy, nervous system, releases endorphins, increases blood flow and tissue oxygenation, and releases muscular tension, which in turn promotes an innate relaxation response.

 

In addition to these physical responses, acupressure is known to help soothe emotional tension. Acupressure can be used for a range of concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and insomnia.

 

During our coaching sessions, I will guide on on self-acupressure techniques. Acupressure can easily be applied to your daily routine and can be combined with other self-care tools such as Reiki and Meditation for the purpose of relaxation, stress and anxiety reduction, depression, insomnia and for general well-being. 

Crystal Bowl Sound Meditations

My Crystal Bowl Sound Meditations will introduce you to the major 7 energy centers, often called Chakras. The energy centers are a symbolic language and template of the human energy system. They exist in the subtle etheric body and as we focus our consciousness on each energy center, they can begin to open up like petals of a flower opening.

 

Combined with a coaching or Reiki session. I play each of the crystal bowls with the note that best resonates with each of the 7 main chakras. As we work with the energy centers you may feel you are opening up emotionally, mentally and spiritually. 

Tonal vibrations and frequencies from the crystal bowls reach into the cellular and energetic level that turn on the parasympathetic nervous system for deep relaxation and attunement of brain waves to a theta like state. The body absorbs the harmonic frequencies and is nourished by them for optimal healing and stress and anxiety relief. These sound vibrations can have a profound effect on the cells, organs, tissues, as well as the circulatory, metabolic and endocrine systems. As the body is roughly 75-90% water, water is a energy conductor; enabling sound vibration to move through the body and cells for greater circulation, energy flow, rejuvenation & detoxification.
